Dr Van Davy – the GuriNgai Cult’s latest white savior Part 2/3

Lets take a moment to meet Dr Van Davy.

Dr Davy has a large internet footprint so to speak, with multiple Social Media accounts across a range of platforms. Each offer a peak at the image Dr Davy want’s the world to see.

If you believed Dr Davy did not enjoy thinking, well you’ve got another thing coming.

On Facebook, Van drops the title, choosing the more casual ‘Van Davy’.

He really does enjoy thinking.

Dr Davy hygiene focused messaging failed to win over voters.

Mr Davy’s campaign surely provided inspiration for subsequent efforts by GuriNgai Cult members and affiliates to later run as Independents, or for the Indigenous Aboriginal Party for the same seat.

When not campaigning himself, Dr Davy writes letters to the various editors and organisations, makes submissions to government departments at a local, state and federal level – and then publishes these submissions/complaints/thoughts/plans online.

I had seen all of the above while researching A Long Con Gone on Too Long, and so had some background on Dr Davy before I spoke to him yesterday (29 January 2024), but I was not prepared for what he told me, even after all this time.

Why don’t you leave a good hearted person alone. I haven’t met Mr Davy but from all your research I quite like what he’s about. So in trying to paint him as a bad guy you’ve accidentally done that to yourself.

That a good hearted person with otherwise progressive politics can be manipulated into speaking out against Aboriginal People Culture and organisations is what interests me about Dr Van Davy. I’m judgemental of his actions and behaviours relating to the GuriNgai Cult but share you perspective that he a good person otherwise, and was a victim of accepting the unsupported and unsupportable claims of malicious actors: Tracey Howie and her family.

If Van Davy had not inserted himself into Aboriginal affairs he is woefully ill equipped to understand I would not be aware of him, but he did, so here we are.

Perhaps you’ll find the third installment more sympathetic.
