Charlie Needs to move past the Braces, and check her genealogy

The pair that make up ‘Charlie Needs Braces’ are not Aboriginal, not GuriNgai, and the Wannangine Nation they claim to belong to does not exist (and they know it).

Charlie Woods performs under the stage name Charlie Needs Braces, alongside her biological sister, Miri Woods.

Both Charlie and Miri are the daughters of non-Aboriginal GuriNgai Cult follower Rebecca Hird Fletcher.

As is the case with their Mother, both Charlie and Miri Woods falsely claim to be Aboriginal, to be ‘GuriNgai Women’, descended from Bungaree and Matora, through their fictional daughter Sophy – and are fully aware that their claims are offensive, racist nonsense.

They have been presented with the evidence of what can be generously described as errors on their and their families part, and have chosen to continue to misrepresent themselves as Aboriginal People, seemingly in order to create careers that would otherwise be out of their respective means.

Careers, scholarships, opportunities and entitlements that are meant for Aboriginal People, are instead going to these 3 Women. All based on a fiction their Uncle literally created in the 2000s. All three continue to knowingly deceive their colleagues and benefactors, while literally exploiting the very People, Country and Culture they try to emulate.

Their impersonations and misrepresentations directly and indirectly harm Aboriginal People on a deeply spiritual level, as do the results of their ignorance of our ways and protocols are paraded in front of an audience who know so little of us, that they mistake what these people present as Aboriginal.

Bungaree and Matora were never Guringai/GuriNgai.

Bungaree and Matora did not have a daughter named Sophy, as confirmed through DNA testing, and the Anthropology Report by Dr Natalie Kwok.

The GuriNgai are a non-Aboriginal Cult created by a distant relative of Ms Hird-Fletcher, Warren Whitfield, in 2001, as confirmed in A Long Con Gone on Too Long.

After the publication of A Long Con Gone on Too Long, Charlie Needs Braces did not reflect on discovering her newfound Aboriginality was a hoax, and instead was awarded the ‘Archie Roach Award for Emerging Talent’ through Music Victoria, which she accepted, seemingly devoid of the concept of shame.

Mr Whitfield and his niece Tracey Howie attempted to create the illusion of a ‘long lost Aboriginal People’ that suddenly reappeared post-911. Their efforts are the pseudo-Aboriginal, inauthentic, and patently ridiculous GuriNgai group of the Northern Beaches of Sydney, and Central Coast regions of NSW.

Ms Hird-Fletcher ‘discovered’ her mistaken Aboriginality quite recently, and first met many other members of the GurINgai group during an illegal event they held in a National Park, catering to a crowd of hundreds of non-Aboriginal People, on Invasion/Survival/Australia Day 2022. This event took place in Brisbane Waters National Park, and featured men and women clamouring all over the supposedly ‘sacred’ Grandmother Tree.

This same tree that would go on to be featured in the hugely controversial Australian Museum 2024 NAIDOC Program:

And features in the Culturally absurd music videos of Charlie Needs Braces:

It’s time the rest of Australia pay attention when we tell you these people are not Aboriginal – to do otherwise is to be complicit in colonial genocide 2.0 with the whole world watching.
