From the business papers attached to tonight’s Hornsby Shire Council meeting, we find reference to what the esteemed Councillors of Hornsby Shire, and it seems Mayor Phillip Ruddock, have been convinced of by non-Aboriginal GuriNgai Cult leaders Tracey Howie and Laurie Bimson, formerly reffered to in Official Coucil Documents as the ‘GuriNgai Debate’.

So HATSICC (re: Tracey Howie and Laurie Bimson) told the consultants all the GuriNgai nonsense, including that there is some form of ‘debate’ or conjecture regarding the non-Aboriginal GuriNgai group.

There is not, nor has there ever been any uncertainty beyond that engineered by the GuriNgai group themselves.

The illusory truth effect, bewitching their selected targets until they become invested (sometimes literally) in the success of these scrappy underdogs – unaware they are non-Aboriginal frauds, taking them and us for everything they can get.

Can it possibly take so little to bamboozle these people?

Or is it more likely that they are already significantly invested in the GuriNgai narrative – the embarrassment of finding that they are the victims of a cruel, and starkly unsophisticated hoax perpetuated by the people purporting to be GuriNgai, coupled with a heavy helping of sunk-cost fallacy, means the current cohort of Hornsby Shire Councillors are doomed to continue down this racist yellow-brick road, which just this week saw them forced to pay back $36 million dollars to the New South Wales state government.
