What’s so #radical about so-called ‘GuriNgai man’ Brad Twynham – Part TWO

What’s so #radical about so-called ‘GuriNgai man’ Brad Twynham – Part TWO

The first I heard of Brad Twynham’s previous fraud, was from the man himself, in his promotional videos, that I must assure you are a sincere attempt at self-promotion by Brad Twynham, not intentional satire.

Before looking into what records I could locate that would give a more reliable account of what actually happened, I made a note of the testable claims Mr Twynham makes in this single piece of content:

1. Leaders need to learn to be Focused, Bold, and Innovative.

2. In 2008 “we” created the world’s first Cloud Management Platform.

3. Five year’s later ‘they’ sold it (ServiceMesh) for $280,000,000.

4. The FBI ‘came after Brad’s business partners for Fraud’.

5. The FBI used Brad, to get their target.

6. The FBI ‘threatened’ Brad with ‘long jail terms.

7. The FBI took Brad’s home.

8. The FBI took Brad’s money.

9. Within 6 months Brad went from living ‘the high-life in Los Angeles, to driving an Uber.’

10. Brad proved his innocence after five years.

So we are left with 10 relevant testable claims in Brad’s Sales pitch. Before we look at the veracity of these claims, lets consider if there are any patterns that we can note from the claims themselves.

From the outset we see that Brad is leaving out some important details -how many people make up the ‘who’ from Claim 2? Same again for the ‘they’ in Claim 3.

We see Brad describe a series of extremely unfortunate events, in which his business partners are investigated (but not Brad), and the FBI helped themselves to Brad’s possessions! Brad is positioning himself as a being without agency, and innocent pawn caught up in crime he was not involved in.

Importantly we also have Brad Twynham claiming that he proved his innocence, an uncontroversial claim should there be any evidence to support it.

Now lets see if we can trust Bradley Twynham’s version of events.

1. Leaders need to learn to be Focused, Bold, and Innovative.

  • Maybe, but this appears to be a way of Brad creating content associating his name and ‘brand’ with the term ‘FBI’ in a somewhat more positive light than what we are about to see.

2. In 2008 “we” created the world’s first Cloud Management Platform.

According to the Linkedin for the Company, Service Mesh was founded by Eric Pulier and Frank Martinez in 2008.

While ServiceMesh no longer has an active website, records of their previous websites do not mention Service Mesh being the First anything.
Despite this archive containing glowing profiles of the Management Team of Service Mesh, there is no mention of Brad Twynham.

3. Five year’s later ‘they’ sold it (ServiceMesh) for $280,000,000.

In 2013 ServiceMesh was sold to another company named Computer Sciences Corp (CSC) for US$282 million, so 2 million more (US) than Brad claimed.

This deal consisted of an earning payout, like a bonus, that would only be paid if ServiceMesh was able to demonstrate earnings of certain figures, by certain times.

This earning payout was based on ServiceMesh’s revenue between January 1 2013, and January 31, 2014. For every dollar over $20 million earned, ServiceMesh shareholders would earn approximately $10.15 (US), up to a maximum of $137 million US dollars.

“The earnout payment was based on certain revenue generated by ServiceMesh from January 1, 2013, through January 31, 2014,” said a legal filing by CSC lodged in late 2015 in relation to a US civil case against Eric Pulier.

This sale took place soon after the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) awarded an IT Contract with ServiceMesh.

4. The FBI ‘came after Brad’s business partners for Fraud’.

Well actually, there is more to it.

First before we even look at the evidence, IF the FBI were going after Brad’s business partners for Fraud, how were the FBI able to take possession of Brad’s assets? Is that a thing they can do?

No, it’s not.

The reality is the FBI, in a joint investigation with NSW Police were investigating and prosecuting a case against a criminal conspiracy that Bradley Twynham was an active member of.

The following account is taken directly from these US Court Documents:

So on the one hand, we have confirmation that Brad was indeed a ServiceMesh employee, but at the same time we discover that rather than the FBI merely going after Brad’s Business Partners, they were going after Brad, and his co-conspirators.

Remember that bonus earning payout, based on ServiceMesh’s revenue between January 1 2013, and January 31, 2014?

Well in February 2014 CSC calculated that ServiceMesh had generated approximately $29.7 million dollars towards that bonus structure, including $10.4 million in revenue from the CBA in Australia.

Subsequently ServiceMesh Shareholders scored a payout of approximately

$98 million.

It’s very important to recognise that without the $10.4 million in revenue from the CBA in Australia, the bonus payout would not have been triggered, as the total revenue during the specified period would have not passed the $20 million threshold.

But for the CBA earnings, no bonuses, literally zero $, for the shareholders.

To cut a long story short, Brad and his friends bribed CBA employees to sign off of IT contracts that provided no value to the CBA, but increased the perceived revenue of ServiceMesh, in order to receive that bonus from Computer Sciences Corp (CSC).

Brad and his ‘business partners’ bribed, lied, stole, cheated and schemed, while leaving a clear paper-trail that could be seen from space.

Then Brad went and got himself caught.

5. The FBI used Brad, to get their target.

Yes, this is certainly true in a sense, but Brad was also one of the targets. But their high priority targets were Brad’s co-conspirators, the ‘bigger fish’ in a financial sense. The taskforce consisting of NSW Police and the FBI first caught Brad dead-to-rights, before they were able to use him to get their more successful targets.

How big were these fish?

Based on the available data, Eric Pulier stole $25,584,634 compared to Bradley Twynam’s share os the proceeds which amounted to $935,539, meaning the value of Eric Puller’s crime (and conviction in the eyes of the State) is approx 27.5 times greater than Little Fish Bradley.

Similarly Waldron earned $1,800,000 from the caper, making value of Waldron’s crime (and conviction in the eyes of the State) is approx 1.92 times greater than Little Fish Bradley.

Only Hunter and Gyllstrom earned less, but they were more distant from Pulier and Waldron than Bradley Twynham.

6. The FBI ‘threatened’ Brad with long jail terms.

7. The FBI took Brad’s home.

8. The FBI took Brad’s money.

9. Within 6 months Brad went from living ‘the high-life in Los Angeles, to driving an Uber.

Each of these claims individually and in total, are what are referred to by those that deal in such things as consequences.

The ‘threat’ of jailtime was more than a threat, it was a sure thing, unless Bradley Twynham flipped/dobbed/snitched/ratted out his ‘business partners’.

The assets that were seized were not the rightful property of Bradley Twynham and his wife, as he had purchased them with the proceeds of a crime he committed. Not his business partners, not the FBI, Bradley Twynham.

10. Brad proved his innocence after five years.

Brad did not prove his innocence, at all, ever, as there was never innocence to prove. In fact the case against Brad Twynham was so strong that all of his assets in the USA were forfeited to the State, and evidence of Bradley’s involvement remains a matter of public record to this day.

But like his fellow GuriNgai brethren, why would Mr Twynham let the truth get in the way of a story.

No incentive exists that can override his need to profit from a story – literally seeking to turn a profit from his previous failed fraud.

to be continued…
