Tonight’s the night!

A Town Hall organised by the people behind such groups as Coasties Who Care, Coast4One, Save Kariong Sacred Lands, Community Voice Australia Central Coast, My Place Central Coast, and of course Pauline Hanson’s One Nation Party, took place at the Kariong Scout Hall.

Can they fool their audience into believing it’s a coincidence they only protest projects involving genuine Aboriginal People and Organisations?

Can they fool their audience into believing that they are somehow not aware that the GuriNgai are demonstrably not Aboriginal, not ‘traditional bloodline custodians’ and that the world is not already well aware of this?

Can they fool their audience into believing that they are legitimate conservationists who also just happen to deny climate science, and actively fight against renewable energy targets?

Can they fool their audience into believing that their fear of medical science, including but not limited to public health awareness and vaccines has a factual basis rather than a purely emotive one based on profound ignorance and paranoia?

Can they fool their audience into believing that they have the best interests of the community at heart, while threatening, intimidating and/or censoring any voice that does not align with their warped vision of reality?

Last Friday Jake Cassar and his Coasties who Care claimed to have 100 people at their Family Friendly Fundraiser. The reality is there were 25 people tops, and many were cookers from regions far outside the West Gosford Ward in which the Coasties Who Care are campaigning.

Clearly local voices were not a priority, nor is the truth – and the stark divide between what Jake and his associates actually do, rather than what they claim to do, has been on public display.

Many in the wider community are finally realising what has been clear to the Aboriginal community for ages – these lying colonisers only do harm, regardless of whether they are too daft to realise, or merely repeating the lies those they make the error of admiring, such as Tracey Howie, Colleen Fuller, Bever Spiers, Kate Mason, and even Jake Cassar.
